good sales and affordable meat I love the twice baked potatoes from the deli. And the deviled egg potato salad from the deli also. i love shopping here. The one down side is the digital coupons. Sometimes they won't scan and then I can't use them. Because the cashier doesn't know how to do it. They need to work on that. Otherwise 5 stars

It has been a couple years since I have been in this place, but I was reminded of it whilst perusing Yelp here. It is a small store, but actually quite big for a small town shop. They don't have a large selection of more exotic things like dairy-free loafs of bread or frozen mock meats suitable for a vegan, but they do have some Mornigstar Farms items. I would suggest those for vegetarians if it were not for my recent discoveries about GMOs... While it sometimes feels like I am, I am assuming that I am not the only vegan or vegetarian visiting towns such as Monticello who is wondering where to go to get some eats. Anyhow, there is enough here that you can certainly make a meal no matter what your dietary needs. There just isn't much in the way of "quick" foods available here that I could eat if I just wanted to pop something into my friend's microwave. I am thinking that we did find some interesting items that I had not seen elsewhere, but it really escapes me what they were now. (I guess that means I will have to go back!) We were often visiting a friend in the area so we have shopped here when we did not feel like making the trek to Kroger or Walmart. I DO prefer to shop at small, locally-owned stores, but sometimes the hours didn't work for us or there were other things we needed at the bigger places. Everyone really should support this store though since it is such a luxury these days to have a grocery in a small town. It is for that reason that I am giving a four instead of a three because I am happy that it even exists. It was a huge selling point for me when we were considering moving to Monticello. All we have where we are now is a gas station and believe me I am grateful for that much! A grocery store would be heaven!

Being the only grocery store in Monticello I am going to be rather bias reviewing them since they are the only place I can go for grocery needs that is not more than 5 minutes away. they have a decent selection of everything that you may need to make a variety of home cooked meals. there chicken selection is a little limited though since you can get only a small amount of chicken breasts that are not laced with rib meat as well. they do have a wide variety of cheese, cheese dips, and spreads.
